Wild Rice Soup

INGREDIENTS

• 1 1/2 Cup uncooked wild rice

• 2 Teaspoon salt

• 1 Teaspoon butter, melted

• 2 Tablespoon minced onion

• 2/3 Cup all purpose flour

• 3 1/2 Cups water

• 7 Cups chicken broth

• 2/3 Cup minced cook ham

• 2/3 Cup chopped carrots

• 1/4 chopped almonds

• 2 Cup half and half


 

INSTRUCTIONS

• Combine rice, salt butter, onion, flour in slow cooker. Mix well.

• Stir in water and chicken broth

• Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.

• Add ham, carrots and almond. Cover again and cook for additional 30 mins.

• Blend half and half, warm soup and see if it needs more salt (to your liking).
